Have you ever touched the foot of a newborn and felt like doing so continually because of its softness and sleekness? That is the beautiful feet effect.
I used to think hardened feet are a sign of hard work and aging but then who says these diligent fellas can't be catered for after all, they are a hardworking pair of the human body.
Frequent pampering of your feet would do you a lot of good especially if they are often exposed to friction, dust and dirt. Constant friction can make corns and calluses build up on your feet like layers of cheesy crusts of hardened flesh. Have you ever imagined the feeling of walking as if the clouds were under your feet. That's the beauty of a leg care routine.

Recipes for a Feet Care Routine
1. Soak your feet in warm water with 2 to 3 tablespoons of lemon juice for a few minutes. Then add baking soda to the solution. The baking soda's fine grains and the fizzy reaction with the lemon juice can help dissolve calluses.

2. Oatmeal scrub
Mix equal parts oatmeal with milk to make a paste. Apply the scrub to your feet and let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes. Use a foot brush or exfoliating sponge to exfoliate, then rinse with cold water and apply foot cream.
3. Epsom salt soak
Dissolve 1/2 cup of Epsom salt in a footbath or 1 cup in a bathtub full of warm water.(You can always improvisé your footbath with a clean basin dedicated specifically for your feet.) Soak your feet for up to 20 minutes. You can use a pumice stone or foot brush to remove dry skin.
Caution
- Avoid scrubbing your feet until it bleeds. This can lead to more infection.
- Wear socks often to trap in moisture.
-Avoid wearing flip-flops and sandals all the time as they expose your feet to more dryness.
- Always keep your feet moisturised.
