Un bon professor est comme une bougie
Qui se consomme en illuminant le chemin pour les autres.
Un bon étudiant c'est l'enfant intelligent
Qui refuse de rester dans les ténèbres
Mais se met sur le chemin illumine par la bougie.
Un étudiant qui lit, écoute et écris bien
Fais les erreurs et fait les corrections.
Un bon étudiant c'est l'enfant humble
Qui a les doigts brûlés par l'ardeur de la bougie
Et ne déteste pas la bougie mais la prends comme la fessée d'affection
D'une bonne mère à son enfant méchant.


Translation

A good teacher is like a candle
That burns, lighting the path for others.
A good student is the smart child
Who refuses to remain in darkness
But steps onto the path lit by the candle.
A student who reads, listens, and writes well
Makes mistakes and makes corrections.
A good student is the humble child
Who has fingers burned by the heat of the candle
And does not hate the candle, but takes it as
The spanking of affection from a good mother
To her naughty child.
