Make a Sweet Bowl of Tom Brown

Tom Brown Recipe

Ingredients
½ derica of Guinea corn
½ derica of yellow corn
½ derica of millet
½ derica of Soya Beans
¼ derica of groundnut
½ derica of tiger nuts
¾ derica of dates
½ derica of long grain rice
50g of oats
Fish powder (or crayfish)
Unripe plantain chips

Preparation
Pick out stones, dirts and other foreign objects from yellow corn, guinea corn, soya beans, millet and tiger nuts.
Prep the soya beans by soaking 5-6 hours and then removing the hull (skin). Dry under the sun.
Wash the grains and nuts except the groundnuts and rice and sun dry them till crispy.
Roast the sun dried grains separately in a pan on low heat.
Grind all the ingredients to get a smooth Tom Brown powder blend.
To make a sweet bowl of Tom Brown, mix some of the powder in little water.
Add the mixture to a little boiling water on fire and mix for about 10 minutes.
Add some milk and grapes or bananas.
Serve and enjoy a rich bowl of Tom Brown with Akara or Moi moi.
